Elden Ring Changes Invasions Like Players Wanted

FromSoftware has released update 1.06 for Elden Ring. In addition to fixing numerous bugs, it introduces a major improvement to the online mode - the ability to place summoning signs in multiple areas and at a distance.

Released on February 25, 2022, Elden Ring is still being updated. Today studio FromSoftware released patch 1.06 for the title. The list of changes mentions fifty items. Mainly, minor or major bugs were fixed, and balance was improved. However, not only that - the game's network mode got a few new options.

Player-friendly multiplayer

Players who like to help others will now be able to send their summoning signs to multiple areas, and at a distance, without having to teleport personally to a region. Using this feature will make the summoning statues in Mohgwyn's Palace inactive for a while.

Getting to this location is directly related to the quest from the NPC known as Varre's Whitesnake. The quest requires us to complete three invasions of other players' worlds. Patch 1.06 has changed this - now it will also be possible to attack indicated NPCs.

In addition, the terrain where the hostile players can be brough to during invasions has increased.

Bug fixes and balance changes

As for bug fixes and balance changes, I refer those interested to the full patch notes. I'll just mention that the most interesting seems to be another buff for large weapons - the first one took place with patch 1.04 - it affected specifically great swords, curved great swords and great hammers. Many people will also probably feel the nerf of Bloodhound's Step, one of the most commonly used ashes of war.

Update 1.06 for Elden Ring is available for download on PC, PS4, PS5, XOne and XSX/S.
