Final Fantasy XVI has received an age rating in Brazil. The game's content has been rated as unsuitable for players under 16 years of age. As noted by Reddit users, this could have been determined by such elements as extensive violence (including torture), the presence of blood, sex scenes (or references to it), prostitution, drugs or hate crimes. This, of course, does not give a full picture of the game's content, but it could already be seen from the trailers that the game will be darker and dirtier than the other main installments.
The Final Fantasy brand couldn't complain about the lack of difficult content.. The successive installments of the series featured racism, suicide, hatred and violence in general, although there was no blood in that - the exception being a few isolated scenes or the spin-off Final Fantasy Type 0. It is also worth remembering Final Fantasy Tactics, a game for the first PlayStation (or a re-release on the PSP), which also managed to surprise in this regard.
